icMercury was born from a bold question: what if space was truly for everyone? Interstellar Communication Holdings, Inc. was founded in Florida with a clear purpose — to connect and consolidate space-related ventures into a unified platform, and to make the wonders of the cosmos accessible to individuals, businesses, and communities who had previously been left out of the space conversation. From our first PocketQube satellite mission to the launch of our community platform and global cultural programs, every step of our journey has been driven by that original question — and by the growing community of explorers who believe in the answer.
From Idea to Orbit — How icMercury Began
The story of icMercury starts with a simple but powerful realization: the cost of space access had fallen dramatically, yet the benefits remained concentrated at the top. PocketQube satellites — tiny, affordable, and remarkably capable — represented a genuine opportunity to change that. By building a platform around this technology, icMercury set out to become the bridge between everyday people and the emerging space economy.
Our first major milestone came with the HADES-ICM satellite mission, a 1.5p PocketQube manufactured by Hydra Space Systems and launched aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 via Alba Orbital. That mission was more than a technical achievement — it was proof that our vision was real, and that icMercury could deliver a personal connection to space in a way that was affordable, meaningful, and genuinely exciting.

Since that first launch, icMercury has grown steadily — expanding from satellite services into a full ecosystem of engagement. We launched the icMercury App to give our growing community a digital home in space. We created the Space Art Gala to celebrate the intersection of human creativity and cosmic exploration. We established the AstroMine Partnership Program in collaboration with the University of Arizona to connect space innovation with the mining and resources industry. And through every step, we have remained committed to our founding principle: that space should be accessible, inspiring, and open to all.

Our journey forward is guided by the same curiosity and determination that launched our first satellite. We are continuing to grow our PocketQube mission capabilities, welcoming new partners across industries, and deepening the experiences available to our global community. Our roadmap includes expanded satellite services, new cultural and educational programs, and a broader platform for connecting space technology with real-world impact.
But more than any roadmap or milestone, our journey is defined by the people who are part of it — the stargazers, entrepreneurs, artists, researchers, and dreamers who have chosen to explore the universe alongside us. Every person who joins the icMercury community adds a new chapter to this story. And the most exciting chapters are still ahead.
We did not set out to build just another space company. We set out to build a movement — one that invites the world to look up, reach out, and take part in one of humanity’s greatest adventures. The journey forward is not a straight line. It is an orbit, constantly expanding, always returning to what matters most: the people, the purpose, and the passion that make icMercury what it is. We are grateful for every milestone we have reached, and even more excited about everything that lies ahead. The universe is vast — and we are just getting started.
